Tick control for East End lawns and perimeters
Lyme disease prevention for lawns, gardens and property perimeters.
Ticks are the East End's most pressing outdoor concern. Our programs focus on where ticks actually live — lawn edges, stone walls, hedgerows, leaf litter and wooded borders — to reduce populations around the areas your family uses most. We offer family- and pet-conscious treatment options and talk through every choice with you.
What we treat
- Blacklegged (deer) ticks
- Lone star ticks
- American dog ticks
- Lawn edges & wooded borders
- Stone walls & hedgerows
- Play areas & paths
How it works
- 1
Property walk
We identify habitat zones — wood lines, ornamental beds, wildlife paths — and note where people and pets spend time.
- 2
Targeted perimeter treatment
Applications focus on transition zones rather than blanketing the whole property.
- 3
Scheduled follow-ups
Treatments are timed to the tick life cycle through spring, summer and fall.
- 4
Habitat tips
We share simple landscape adjustments that make your yard less hospitable to ticks.
Seasonal timing
Early spring through late fall. Programs typically run April through November, with key treatments in early spring (nymph season) and fall (adult activity).
Perimeter treatments
Perimeter treatment
We treat the transition zone where lawn meets woods, brush, ornamental beds and stone walls — the band where most ticks wait for a host.
Shaded & leaf-litter areas
Ticks need humidity. We focus on shaded beds, ground covers and leaf litter, not open sunny lawn.
Paths & play areas
Walkways, play sets, dog runs and garden paths get careful attention because that's where people and pets spend time.
Repeat on a schedule
A single application doesn't last a whole season. Scheduled treatments — typically every 3 weeks — keep protection consistent.
Yard habitat reduction tips
- Keep grass mowed short, especially at lawn edges
- Rake and remove leaf litter from beds and borders
- Lay a 3-foot wood-chip or gravel strip between lawn and woods
- Stack firewood neatly, off the ground and away from the house
- Move play sets and seating away from wood lines into sun
- Discourage deer and rodents, which carry ticks onto the property
Family- & pet-conscious options
We offer family- and pet-conscious treatment options, including botanical-based products for clients who prefer them. We'll explain what each product is, where it goes, and how long to keep children and pets off treated areas. We don't make safety guarantees — we give you clear information so you can choose.
Event treatments for parties & weddings
Hosting a garden party, graduation or wedding? We schedule a tick and mosquito treatment a day or two ahead of your event, focusing on lawn edges, tented areas and paths guests will use.
Tick & Mosquito Season Plans
Season-long treatments on a set schedule, typically every 3 weeks.
